Insurance companies will not cover the medication Ketamine; however some may cover Spravato™ (or Esketamine; the S-Enantiomer of Ketamine). Spravato™  was recently approved by the FDA for the treatment of treatment resistant depression. 

The administration and monitoring of both Ketamine and Spravato (which is required to be given only in a certified health facility and subject to the care and monitoring by a healthcare professional for 1-2 hours after administration) are also not covered by insurance plans at the present time.  We are constantly working with providers to eventually cover the entire treatment.
