What is TMS?

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation or TMS therapy

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive medical procedure that uses magnetic fields to stimulate specific areas of the brain involved in mood regulation.

It is an FDA-approved medical treatment and is  primarily used to treat depression and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), particularly in cases where patients have found little success with medication due to their side effects.

Treatment results have been encouraging:

  • Half of the patients have seen significant improvements
  • Patients are 4x more likely to experience remission from major depression
  • 1 in 3 patients achieved freedom from depressive symptoms.
  • Relief has been sustained for over 12 months.
